Ignite 1 Call for Speakers

Enlighten us, but make it quick.

Ignite is an ongoing series of speedy presentations.  Any topic, 1 speaker, 5 minutes, 20 slides, rotating every 15 seconds.  Ignite events are happening all over the world, and this is Ann Arbor’s first.  Other Ignites have seen talks on topics ranging from How to Buy a Car, to Hacking Chocolate, to The 6 Hour Startup.

If you are interested in giving an Ignite talk, please email organizer@igniteannarbor.org or add your name to this wiki page.  An advisory committee is being assembled to adjudicate the speaking list for variety and interest.

We can’t wait to hear what you’ve got to say.

Ignite Ann Arbor – June 30th 2009

We’re excited to announce that Ignite Ann Arbor 1 will be held June 30th, 2009 at 7pm, at The Neutral Zone in downtown Ann Arbor (310 E. Washington)!  We’d like to thank them for agreeing to host Ann Arbor’s first Ignite event.

The Neutral Zone is a diverse, youth-driven teen center dedicated to promoting personal growth through artistic expression, community leadership and the exchange of ideas.  It’s a great space, and it will be a great opportunity for more people to find out about the excellent work they do.

The event itself will consist of a short group activity to get the crowd pumped, followed by about a dozen 5-minute Ignite talks.  The event will be followed by an after-party at a local establishment TBD.
